The International Carotenoid Society has established four new Committees:
- Advertising Committee – This committee will focus on strengthening the Society’s public profile, including its website, social media, and press relations. It will compile news in the carotenoid field and promote them worldwide. Do you have a new paper? Looking for a job? Recently defended your thesis? Contact this committee to spread the word.
- Communications Subcommittee – Contact our Councilors Drs. Chris Cazzonelli (C.Cazzonelli@westernsydney.
edu.au) and Kevin McGraw (mcgrawk5@msu.edu) for more information and how to engage in their exciting initiatives to promote our Society worldwide - Newsletter Subcommittee –Our Councilor Dr. Paula Mapelli (pmapelli@us.es), together with her former trainee Dr. Angeles Moron (amortiz@us.es) will continue compiling the latest news in the field and distribute them to our members.

- Mentoring Committee – This committee is responsible for connecting early-career trainees and senior professionals in the carotenoid field to establish a mentorship relationship within peers. If you are interested in participating in this initiative, either as a mentee or as a mentor, please contact jaume6@illinois.edu.
- Fundraising Committee – This committee, led by our Councilor Dr. Brenda Fonseca (brenda@brendafonseca.com), our Past President Dr. Kevin Gellenbeck (kgellenbeck68@gmail.com), and our Treasurer Dr. Liz Johnson (elizabeth.johnson@tufts.edu) will work to secure and diversify the Society’s funding base through corporate engagement, philanthropic donations, and outreach activities to support the Society’s long term growth.
- Membership Committee – This committee will be responsible for recruiting and retaining members, promote member benefits, and facilitating renewals. Please contact Dr. Jaume Amengual for questions or issues related to your membership at jaume6@illinois.edu
